Pure Puppy Love -
Lots of Love Goes
 Into Every Puppy

Please be assured that Moon Dust Labradors is not a "puppy mill."  We are committed to the maintaining the purity and quality of the Labrador Retriever breed.  We will not compromise our beliefs just to turn a quick dollar.  Our Labradors are a part of our family.  They receive regular vaccinations and are kept in roomy kennels with concrete flooring rather than on dirt and grass.  We also do not "over-breed" or cross-breed our dogs.

Birthday - August 9, 2008
Wow!  We are finally here.  We are warm and cozy with our Mom in what we are told is a special house built for our birth.  Our eyes are closed, but Mom tells us our "mommy people" has on warm, dry blankets.  Our mommy people was with us as we were born.  She made sure we are all healthy, breathing, cleaned, and warmed.  We weighed one pound each.  We have little pink noses and paw pads for the first week.  Then our pigment will develop and noses and paw pads will turn black.  Most of us are very light yellow, and several of us are almost completely white.

Week One
We are one week old now.  We have gained weight and are almost 2 pounds.  Our paw pads and noses are turning black.  Our eyes are still closed, but we can really scoot all over our house.

Week Two
Under protest, we have to pose for pictures with our new ribbons so our mommy people can tell us apart.  (People are so silly.)  We just wanted to take a nap.  Our mommy people was trying not to use that flashy thing since we just opened our eyes.

Week Three

We have our eyes and ears all the way open now.  When our mommy people comes into the puppy house, we see her and go to her when she calls us.  Our walking is slow and a bit clumsy as we get our balance and our legs get stronger.  Our mommy people took us outside to take our pictures this week.  She tells us that we will have our teeth come in next week and maybe we can have some soft food.  We don't know what that is yet, but we are excited to learn.  Our mommy people also did what she called cutting the grass next to our pen.  The lawnmower was loud, but we didn't care.  We liked exploring our pen outside the puppy house.

Week Four

Wow!  We really love puppy food.  Our mommy people makes puppy food soft with warm water.  She will come out to the puppy house, call us and we all rush out the door to get some.  We eat until we have full tummies, then we waddle back into the puppy house and take a nap.  We are really growing fast. This is a group shot because right after this picture was taken, we splashed in the water, ate breakfast, then ran back into our puppy house and took a long nap.  We did not want to pose for individual pictures.  Maybe later...

Week Five

(NOTE:  Only close-ups of individual available puppies are pictured here.  If you have put a deposit on a puppy, it will be included in groups shots only.  I don't want to sell the puppy you chose and fell in love with!)

We have been playing and experiencing many new things this week.  We have graduated from soft food to hard food.  We have been riding in our mommy people yellow wagon.  That is kind of fun!  Today, we went for a wagon ride and got in this thing our mommy people called a pool.  At first we were not real sure about it, but then we started walking around and splashing and wagging our tails.

Week Eleven

Beside playing all afternoon, we learned how to walk on a leash today.  It was really cool.  We got to visit our neighbors who have a chocolate lab named Cosmo.  We couldn't play with him though, because he is a grown up dog and we are still babies.

Due Late November/Early December
A wait list has been created for this litter.  The litter is due approximately November 30.  When the puppies are born, I will contact the people who have requested a puppy from this litter.  When the puppies are two weeks old, I will put a different colored ribbon on each puppy.  This assists me with puppy identification, temperament tracking, and color conditioning.

Puppy Selection:  At 3-4 weeks of age, the puppies begin to develop their "personalities."  If you have a deposit on a puppy, I begin scheduling visits to select your puppy (1st deposit, 1st choice, 2nd deposit, 2nd choice, and so on), or you can tell me what you are looking for in a puppy and I can direct you to the puppy that best fits your requirements.

At the bottom of this page there is a chart that will show you the availability of the puppies along with the appropriate ribbon color and gender.  For more information about the puppies or sending a deposit, contact:  kloner@bellsouth.net The puppies will be ready to go to new homes xx/xx/xx.
