Please be assured that
Moon Dust Labradors is not a "puppy mill." We are committed to the
maintaining the purity and quality
of the Labrador Retriever breed. We will not compromise our beliefs just
to turn a quick dollar. Our
Labradors are a part of our family. They receive regular vaccinations and are kept in roomy kennels
with concrete flooring rather than on dirt and
grass. We also do not
"over-breed"
or cross-breed our
dogs.

Emails have been sent to
people on the wait list for this litter. When the puppies are two weeks old, I will put a different colored ribbon on
each puppy. This assists me with puppy identification, temperament
tracking, and collar conditioning.
Puppy Selection: At 3-4 weeks
of age, the puppies begin to develop their "personalities." If you have a
deposit on a puppy, I begin scheduling visits to select your puppy (1st deposit,
1st choice, 2nd deposit, 2nd choice, and so on), or you can tell me what you are
looking for in a puppy and I can direct you to the puppy that best fits your
requirements.
At the bottom of this page there is a chart that
will show you the availability of the puppies along with the appropriate ribbon
color and gender.

Six beautiful puppies arrived last
night. Two males and four females. As of this posting
(10/05/08), mom and babies are doing well. Pictures will follow
soon, although photographing black puppies can be a challenge. The
lighting has to be just right.

Week Two
Dear readers, our mommy people will be adding pictures to this site very
soon. She has been very busy with her daughter's wedding, whatever
that is. She does take time though to come to the puppy house, and
pick us up and snuggle and talk to us. We surprised our mommy people
on Thursday and started opening our eyes. We can see her and hear
her when she comes to see us. She says she is going to put ribbons
on us soon so she can tell us apart.

Yippee! We have colored ribbons.
Our mommy people said it is very hard to photograph black puppies.
Our coats are so soft and shiny that the lighting has to be just right.
We we get a little bigger, we will get to go outside and take some
pictures in the bright sunshine. Maybe those pictures will be better
in showing off our features. Our eyes and ears are open now and we
are trying to walk.

Week Three Some
of us are a little camera shy. (And we would rather have a nap that
pose for that flashy thing anyway.) We have our eyes and ears
completely open. We are walking, but are a still a bit clumsy yet.
Our teeth are almost al the way through. Our mommy people said by
the end of this next week, we might get to try some soft food.

Week Four
We are four weeks old and full of
personality. Our teeth are in and we absolutely love soft food!
Yummy in our tummies. We weigh between 4.8 and 5.0 pounds. We
love to explore and experience new things. You can see us in our
little yellow wagon as we ride around the yard. This is so cool!
